Pella Shipyard Launches Tug for Russian Navy

Pella Shipyard, a Russian tug building company, launched a new tug boat “RB-413” scheduled for delivery to the Russian Navy in 2015.

 

The tug boat of 90600 design, which will be part of the Baltic Fleet, is designed for towing and berthing operations, refloating of ships, fighting fires, oil spill response and transportation of goods.

It has a length overall of 25.4 m, breadth of 8.8 m and draught of 4.2m, and can reach a speed of 11.8 knots. The vessel is equipped with Fluidmecanica bow double-drum anchor-towing-mooring electro-hydraulic winch, bollard pull of 10 tonnes and and 1860 kN of brake holding force; SWL towing hook of bollard pull of 23 tonnes with quick release device.
