On board ITS Margottini, Rear Admiral Guido Rando, the delegation was welcomed by commanding officer of the First Naval Group, and Commander Pasquale Esposito, commanding officer of the unit.

At the same time, Commodore Juha Vauhkonen, Chief of Staff Navy Command of the Finnish Navy, followed by a delegation of military and civil authorities, visited the La Spezia Intermarine Shipyards and Launcher Destroyer Caio Duilio.

At the end of the visit, Commodore Juha Vauhkonen acknowledged the support given by the Italian Navy to the Finnish Navy in the creation of new minehunters, and for ITS Duilio making a stop in Helsinky during a joint exercise with Patroller Hanko last November.
