Royal Oman Navy Receives New Warship

BAE Systems yesterday handed over the third of three new warships to the Royal Navy of Oman.


Spanish Ambassador to UK Visits EU Navfor Operational HQ

The Spanish Ambassador to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Mr Federico Trillo-Figueroa Martínez Conde, yesterday visited the Operational Headquarters of EU Naval Force at Northwood Base, North London. He was met by the Deputy Operational Commander of Operation Atalanta, Rear Admiral Bartolomé Bauzá.


HMS Ocean Prepares to Return to Sea

A team from HMS Ocean has been training at Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC) in preparation for taking Britain’s biggest warship back to sea following a 15-month £65 million revamp.


First Japanese Ship Assigned to US Pacific Fleet Calls at Yokosuka

The first ever Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) ship to serve as the primary mission platform for the U.S. Pacific Fleet’s annual humanitarian and disaster response-focused mission arrived at Commander Fleet Activities, Yokosuka to on-load supplies and a multinational crew.


USS Independence Tests Mk 110 Gun

USS Independence (LCS 2) successfully completed a test event with the ship’s Mk 110 57 millimeter gun on May 20. 


HMS Queen Elizabeth Step Closer to Naming Ceremony (UK)

The scaffolding around the bow of the Royal Navy’s HMS Queen Elizabeth has been removed, the Aircraft Carrier Alliance said on its Twitter account.
