NAVFAC, Guam MACC Builders A JV Ink USD 42.3 Million Contract

Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific awarded a $42.3 million firm-fixed-price task order under a multiple award construction contract May 12 to Guam MACC Builders A JV, a large business of Honolulu, Hawaii, for the construction of modular storage magazines at Naval Base Guam.

 

“This contract will deliver infrastructure improvements to Naval Base Guam, and enhance overall mission readiness of the base,” said NAVFAC Marianas Executive Officer Capt. Doug King.

The work to be performed includes the construction of 28 modular storage magazines in addition to security fencing, electrical power, security lighting, communication and emergency generator building, clearing and grubbing, grading, paving and site improvements. The site improvements include access roads, concrete aprons, circulation roadways, drainage, percolation basins, waterlines and incidental related work.

Work will be performed in Santa Rita, Guam, and it is expected to be completed by June 2016.

Six proposals were received for this task order.
