The Ukrainian Navy’s fleet of ships and boats Pryluky, Kirovograd, Skadovsk, AK-1, and AK-2 completed a range of drills and training on May 11th.

Capt. Lt. Vitaliy Lejnyuk, Commander of Boats Division, said:

“We’ve completed all the scheduled training and exercises: gun practice in different areas of sea, ship-damage control, and rescue actions for person overboard, etc. The targets were hit.”

According to Rear Admiral Andriy Tarasov, Acting Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, the crews of Pryluky and Kirovograd are undergoing combat coordination process and soon they will be ready to accomplish the tasks assigned.

Missile cutter Pryluky (U153) completed the first sailing after redeployment from Sevastopol, Ukraine this month.

She has been redeployed to Odessa due to the ongoing political situation in Ukraine. Pryluky was blocked by the Russian Navy in March and was one of the first ships to leave Crimea.
