Under achieved arrangements with Russia, the Ukrainian Navy has evacuated its third ship from Sevastopol, Crimea to Odesa, the ‘Balta’ degaussing ship, as informed by the country’s Defence Ministry. The ship was towed yesterday to her new deployment location.

 

The evacuation operation was successful and the crew ensured good operation of the ship’s mechanisms. Soon, the ship will be capable to accomplish all the tasks assigned, the Ministry said.

Aside to ‘Balta’, two more Ukrainian ships have been deployed to Odesa, namely Pryluky and Fastiv.

Today, the representatives of Ukrainian and Russian MoD continue defining the schedule of evacuation of the Ukrainian ships and vessels from the peninsula.
