Russian Troops Capture Up to 80 Ukrainian Personnel in Feodosia Attack

Up to eighty Ukrainian black berets are held captive at Feodosia Naval Port, in Crimea, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence announced earlier today.

At about 4.20 a.m., Russian troops launched an attack on the naval base where the 1st Detached Feodosia Battalion of Marines is stationed. According to preliminary data, several Ukrainian servicemen were injured during the attack, the Ministry said.

According to the report, Russian assault personnel landed from two Mi-8 helicopters on the base using BTRs and stun grenades. Two Russian Mi-24 helicopters provided air support.

At 6.00 a.m., lorries with personnel with arms pinned to their sides left the territory.

The attack comes just days after Russian troops had captured Belbek airbase near Sevastopol.
