UKRAINIAN FRIGATE HETMAN SAHAYDACHNY

The Ukrainian Navy frigate Hetman Sahaydachny, which arrived in Ukraine on March 5, will temporarily stay in the port of Odesa, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence informed.

 

The ship has completed four months of tasks within Ocean Shield and Operation Atalanta.

Hetman Sahaydachny was escorted by the Turkish Navy ships through Bosphorus strait on March 4, when she entered the waters of the Black Sea.

‘We’re proud of you! You have properly accomplished combat tasks and passed under the Ukrainian flag through waters of different world countries. I’m sure you’ll be the beacon of military duty, courage, bravery and the bastion of our state sovereignty,’ stressed Lt. Gen. Anatoliy Syrotenko.

Many city officials participated in the welcoming of the ship event.

‘We’re happy to be in Ukraine and thank for warm reception in Odesa. We worked as a united team. We’re ready to accomplish all the tasks assigned,’ reassured Rear Admiral Andriy Tarasov, Commander of the Mission.
