Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) was awarded a task order by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) to provide engineering, technical, and program management support services to the Quality and Systems Engineering Assurance division.

Under the task order, SAIC will provide engineering and systems integration services including analysis and studies, rapid prototyping, technical documentation, field engineering, rapid delivery support, and other related tasks.

The single-award, cost-plus-incentive-fee task order has a one-year period of performance, two one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately $33 million if all options are exercised. The task order was awarded under the SeaPort-e contracting vehicle, and work will be performed primarily in NSWC Crane, Ind. and Cape Canaveral, Fla.

“We are excited to continue to expand our long-standing relationship with NSWC Crane,” said Tom Watson, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of the Navy and Marine Corps Customer Group. “This contract enables us to provide highly specialized engineering and technical support services to NSWC Crane on a number of mission critical programs for the Navy.”

NSWC Crane is a shore command of the U.S. Navy under the Naval Sea Systems Command headquartered in Washington, D.C. It works to harness the power of technology for the warfighter and specializes in full lifecycle support in three mission focus areas: special missions, strategic missions, and electronic warfare/information operations.
