Ukrainian Navy Ships Boost Interoperability

Slavutych U510, a command ship pertaining to the Ukrainian Navy, has completed exercises with commanders of sea force, ships and motor boats, and support ships.

 

The Navy Commander, Admiral Yurii Ylyin, said that these events help them to create common opinions and approaches.

Cadets from the fourth year of P.S. Nakhimov Naval Academy also participated in the exercises.

The Navy Commander said that he is satisfied with the quality and accomplishment of the exercises.

The Slavutych U510 was built by Chernomorskiy Shipyard, located in Nikolaev, Ukraine.

She was laid down in July 1988, launched on 12th November 1990, and commissioned into the fleet on August 24th, 1992.

She was orginally named Pridneprovye, but she changed her name to Slavutych in 1993.
