The Russian Navy’s research ship Seliger was spotted near the Olympic park in Sochi, Russia the BBC reported.

Sochi is secured by 40,000 police officers, troops and hundreds of security cameras due to the Olympic games, which will start in three days.

The Seliger was launched by Kaliningrad-based shipyard, Yantar in 2009 and commissioned in December 2012. She is designed for various scientific and research works for the Russian Navy.

The 60 meter-long ship is equipped with diving complex and autonomous underwater working vehicle (type ARS 600 – variant 1). She can reach a speed of 13.5 knots with 25 crewmembers onboard.
