USS CHOSIN (CG 65) NEAR HAWAII

The US Navy’s guided-missile cruiser, USS Chosin (hull number CG 65) taking part in the exercise Koa Kai 14-1 in the waters near Hawaii.

 

Koa Kai, Hawaiian for “Sea Warrior,” is a semiannual exercise in the waters off Hawaii. It is designed to prepare independent deployers in multiple warfare areas and to provide training in a multi-ship environment.

Seven Hawaii-homeported surface ships and two San Diego-based surface ships of the U.S. Navy took part in the exercise that took place from January 24 through January 31.
