Sri Lankan Navy Commander Hosts Ugandan Defence Minister

Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage, welcomed Ugandan Minister of State for Defence, Hon. Gen (retd) Odongo Jeje, at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on 28th of January 2014.

The Ugandan Minister was accompanied by a delegation of six members.

The collocutors discussed mutual interests and importance of bilateral cooperation.

The Ugandan Minister also visited Sri Lanka Army Commander Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake.

The Minister asked for Sri Lanka Military’s cooperation to organise a training programme for Ugandan Military. He said that they were very impressed with skills and the training in Sri Lanka and they would also like to have more training and cooperation with the Sri Lankan Navy.
