Chinese Navy Helicopters Train in South China Sea

Chinese shipboard helicopters successfully finished low-attitude flight training in the South China Sea today, as reported by the People’s Daily.

The helicopters trained landing aboard the Chinese naval vessels. The vessels, equipped with landing platforms, are currently patrolling the South China Sea.

The Nanhai Fleet flotilla is comprised of three ships, which are amphibious landing craft Changbaishan and two destroyers Wuhan and Haikou.

Liu Dehua, a Naval Air Force Official with the Nanhai Fleet, said that the helicopter regiment successfully completed about 100 flights since Monday.
