USS Rentz Seizes USD 10 Million of Drugs

The US Navy frigate USS Rentz seized about 313kg of cocaine in December last year, worth up to USD 10.4 million, KBPS news portal writes.

USS Rentz, which was in counter drug operations in coastal waters off Central America sent her helicopter to detect and cut off a small vessel suspected of smuggling narcotics.

Since joining the counter drug Operation Martillo, the ship intercepted about 3,000kg of drugs.

The ship belongs to Oliver Hazard Perry-class of guided missile frigates of the US Navy.

With the length of 138 meters and displacement of 4200 tones, she can reach the speed over 29 knots.
