Royal Navy Ship Visits Thailand
HMS DARING DOCKED IN THAILAND

The Royal Navy’s warship HMS Daring, which is on her nine-month global deployment, has arrived in Sattahip-Chuk Semat, Thailand.

The warship is the first Royal Navy’s ship to visit Thailand in the past five years.

The collaboration between the two countries is present in numerous defence sectors. For example, the largest warship in the Royal Thai Navy, HTMS Krabi, was built to a British design and her crew received training from the Royal Navy’s Flag Officer Sea Training organization. In addition, HMS Daring accompanied HTMS Krabi on her first deployment, thus boosting their interoperability.

HMS Daring has already sailed 30,000 miles carrying out regional visits and military exercises and is expected to return home to Portsmouth in the spring.
