French Warship Conducts Training with Tanzanian Navy
EU NAVFOR WITH TANZANIAN NAVY

The flagship of the EU Naval Force, FS Siroco, held training with the Tanzanian Navy during her recent visit to the port of Dar Es Salaam.

The training included a briefing on boarding operations, Best Management Practices (BMP) and an introduction to the Mercury system used by the counter piracy forces for coordinating efforts in the region.

The BMP shows how to assist ships to avoid, deter or delay piracy attacks in the High Risk Area.

The training was completed successfully and it served as an opportunity to build relations between EU Naval Forces and the Tanzanian Navy.
