Ten people died and 17 people were injured on Monday, December 23 at Alabey Naval Shipyard in Izmir, Turkey amid tilting of a tugboat owned by Turkish Naval Forces (TDK) on its side, as informed by seanews.com.

The tugboat TCG Degirmendere started receiving water after it listed and tilted fully onto one side.

Injured people were transferred to the hospital and investigation into the cause of the accident is continuing.

The tug, undergoing repair at the shipyard, listed during an attempt of launching into the water.
