Spanish Navy Holds Briefings with Defense Attachés

The Spanish Navy welcomed 28 accredited Defense Attachés in Spain at the Naval Headquarters for a series of briefings and conferences on the most recent Spanish Navy activities.

The session was organized by the Foreign Relations Section (REX) of the Naval Staff and included the following topics: ‘Navy Overview’, ‘Ongoing Operations’ and ‘REX as liaison office with foreign Attachés’.

During the informative session the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, admiral Javier Franco Suanzes also addressed the diplomatic representatives. The day concluded with a visit to the Naval Museum and the exhibition ‘Blas de Lezo, the Courage of Half-man’.

There were representatives from Germany, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, China, Korea, El Salvador, France, The Philippines, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, United Kingdom, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Army Staff and the Liaison Office of the Defense Policy Directorate-General.
