Sri Lanka Navy Arrests 30 Indian Fishermen

SLN and SLCG craft on routine patrol arrested 30 Indian fishermen and 8 Indian trawlers engaged in illegal fishing in the northern seas of Sri Lanka on 12th December 2013.

They were taken into custody in the Sri Lankan waters approximately 05 nautical miles east of Analathivu. The arrested fishermen were brought to KKS harbour to be handed over to the Assistant DFAR Director in Jaffna for legal action.
