Sri Lanka Navy Assists 3 Fishermen

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Uttara of the Northern Naval Command while on duty rendered assistance to 3 fishermen who had drowned in the sea off Kankasanturei on 04th Dec 2013.

Their Fishing boat had capsized due to rough seas and the fishermen had washed away towards Kankasanthurai pier. The rescued fishermen were transferred ashore by the naval troops and provided them with food and medical treatment.
