 Eastern Naval Command Welcomes Chief of Naval Staff

Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM AVSM YSM NM VSM ADC, Chief of the Naval Staff was accorded a 50-man Guard of Honour on arrival at the Command Headquarters on 05 Nov 13.

The Chief of the Naval Staff held discussions with Vice Admiral Anil Chopra, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, and attended a presentation on the activities and future projects of the Command. The Admiral visited establishments of the Command, and reviewed the Eastern Fleet at sea wherein ships, submarine and aircraft of the Command participated. Admiral Joshi will preside over the induction ceremony of the Hawk 132, Advanced Jet Trainer aircraft into the Indian Navy, scheduled to be held on Wednesday.

Mrs. Chitra Joshi, President Navy Wives Welfare Association, accompanied by Mrs. Ragini Chopra, President NWWA (Eastern Region) visited the ladies of the ‘Sahara’ Group, an organisation run by the ladies of NWWA for rehabilitation of the widows of Service personnel. She also attended a ‘Milan’ hosted in her honour at the Samudrika Naval auditorium, and interacted with the Executive Members of the NWWA Committee.

Admiral and Mrs. Joshi are on a two-day visit to the Eastern Naval Command, and are scheduled to depart Visakhapatnam on 07 Nov.
