Naval personnel attached to SLN Dockyard of the Eastern Naval Command on routine patrol arrested 89 persons engaged in illegal fishing using purse seine nets on 17 th October 2013 in the seas off Chapel Island and Dutch Bay in Trincomalee.

The arrested persons along with the recovered items were handed over to the Fisheries Department officials in Trincomalee.
