Sri Lanka Naval Troops Arrest 3 Persons Engaged in Illegal Fishing

Naval troops attached to Naval Deployment Lankapatuna of the Eastern Naval Command arrested 3 persons engaged in illegal fishing at Ilankaitturai on 01^st September 2013.

Four oxygen cylinders, two face masks, two pairs of diving fins and a snorkel were among the items recovered from their possession. The arrested persons and the items along with 200 kilograms of illegally caught fish catch and the FGD used for the illegal act were handed over to Serunuwara Police for legal action.
