The commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron One Zero Six (VFA-106) based at Naval Air Station Oceana was relieved of his duties Aug. 26 by Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic.

US to Attack Syria on Thursday?

The US could attack Syria with three days of missile strikes, beginning on Thursday, reported NBC News. The US Navy is preparing for the airstrikes which will most probably be conducted from navy destroyers or submarines, recently moved closer to Syria, in the Mediterranean Sea.

UK Could Use Warships against Syria?

Royal Navy warship, HMS Montrose could be used to launch a military strike against Syria, if needed, according to The Herald. HMS Montrose could be joined by an unnamed nuclear submarine. Nevertheless, the specific positions of the military assets have not been disclosed due to security reasons.

US Navy Destroyers Ready for Strike on Syria, If Needed

The US Navy destroyers are ready and waiting for Obama’s call to strike the Syrian regime’s assets, according to the Washington Times. Namely, USS Mahan, USS Gravely, USS Barry and USS Ramage, armed with 90 tomahawk cruise missiles each, are currently in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
