The Naval Forces of Egypt have rescued the crew of Israeli Zim boxship, which caught on fire while at sea, reports the Gulf Ship News.
The ship was on its way from Djibouti sailing toward the Mediterranean Sea.
The Navy Forces and a fire unit of the Suez Canal Authority were able to put the fire under control before entering the Suez Canal.
The fire, which inflicted a considerable damage to the ship’s cargo, has been extinguished.
