UK: Royal Navy Supports Armed Forces Day

The Royal Navy has taken a series of stunning images in support of Armed Forces Day – which is to be celebrated with events across the country on June 29.

While deployed on operations spanning the globe, Royal Navy sailors have put together a portfolio of imagery to commemorate AFD which is of great importance to all three Services.

Currently deployed in the Gulf, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans while also continuing to safeguard the UK and her interests, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines are continually ensuring that shipping lanes are kept free and open and stand ready to respond to worldwide events at a moment’s notice.

This year’s Armed Forces Day is being celebrated with a national event in Nottingham, however there are smaller celebrations across the UK.
