Sri Lanka Navy assisted in the repatriation of 5 Sri Lankan fishermen on 29th March 2013. The fishermen with their fishing boat named “Sudu Duwa” were taken over from the Indian Coast Guard Ship “Ahalyabai” at the International Maritime Boundary Line off Kudiramalai point by Sri Lanka Naval Vessel P 474 attached to the Western Naval Command.

Repatriation of Sri Lankan fishermen and their boat comes as a direct result of the collaborative efforts made by the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Sri Lanka Navy and the Indian officials.
