Brunei Navy Welcomes Thai Contingent

Three Royal Thailand Navy (RTN) ships arrived safely at the Royal Brunei Navy Muara Naval Base yesterday morning (February 21). The contingent is led by Rear Admiral Sucheep Whoungmaitree, Academic Dean of the Academic Branch Royal Thai Naval Academy.

He is accompanied by the Commanding Officers of HTMS CHAO PHRAYA, HTMS BANG PAKONG and HTMS PATTANI. Present to receive the Rear Admiral and his delegation were Colonel (L) Pg Norazmi bin Pg Hj Muhammad, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy and other senior officers. Rear Admiral Sucheep Whoungmaitree will be in the country from 21 February to 24 February 2013.

As part of the visit, Rear Admiral Sucheep Whoungmaitree will be making Courtesy Calls to Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, and First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.

Brunei Navy Welcomes Thai Contingent

 As part of their visit, the Academic Dean of the Royal Thai Naval Academy and officer cadets of the Royal Thailand Navy (RTN) will be making visits around Brunei Darussalam to places such as the Royal Regallia, Brunei Musuem and many more. A sports interaction has also been organised between the officer cadets of the Royal Thailan Navy (RTN) and officer cadets from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Officer Cadet School.

This visit is aimed at continuing the long-established bilateral relations and also to explore areas of military cooperation between both countries.
