Naval personnel attached to SLNS Parakumba of the Eastern Naval Command arrested two persons with 54 gelignite capsules (gel type) in the general area West of Koonaithive on 06th October 2012.
The arrest was carried out with the assistance of Inshore Patrol Craft P 114 while the persons were attempting to escape by swimming after abandoning their FGD beached at shore.
The arrested persons and the seized items were handed over to Sampoor Police for further investigation.
