US DoD Awards Honeywell International APU Supply Support Contract

Honeywell International Inc., Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a $180, 914,513 firm-fixed-price requirements contract for Performance Based Logistics (PBL) for supply support for Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) for the F/A-18 A/B/C/D/E/F/G (including F/A-18 Australian F/G models), P-3, S-3, C-2 and KC-130 F/R, F404 Main Fuel Controls (MFC) used on the F/A-18 aircraft and the P-3 engine driven compressor (EDC) covering 6 weapons replaceable assemblies (WRAs) and 85 shop replaceable assemblies (SRA), the United States Defence Department announced.

Work for the MFC repairs will be performed in Jacksonville, Fla., while  the work for the APU and EDC repairs will be performed in Cherry Point, N.C.  and Phoenix, Ariz.

The completion of the work is expected in August 2017.

This PBL contract includes supply support for the Australian F/A-18 Super Hornet under the Foreign Military Sales Program, and represents less than one percent of the estimated contract value. Honeywell was solicited for this sole-source requirement and one offer was received in response to the solicitation. The contracting activity is the NAVSUP Weapons System Support, Philadelphia, Pa.
