4RS Saves 5 Year Old Girl for Drowning in Sea off Panama

Alert naval personnel of the Rapid Response Rescue and Release Squadron (4RS) saved a 5-year-old girl from drowning in the sea off Panama on 22nd July 2012.

She is from Batticaloa and was among the devotees who had come to attend the annual festival at Panama Okanda Kovil, for which the Navy provides assistance. The incident had happened while the little girl was having a bath in the sea.

The relieved parents expressed their gratitude to the naval personnel for saving the life of their precious daughter through their timely action.
