Sri Lankan Navy Arrests Persons with Illegal Fishing Devices

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Gajaba of the North-central Naval Command whilst conducting checks at the Tavulpadu Fishing Marshalling Point arrested 04 persons who had a non-electric detonator and 02 safety fuses, which are used for illegal fishing, in their possession on 15th March 2012.

The arrested persons along with the items in their possession were handed over to Mannar Police for further investigations.
