Naval Fast Gunboat “SLNS Edithara II ” attached to the Northern Naval Command rescued 04 Indian fishermen stranded in the seas north-west of Delft on 26th January 2012.
Their fishing vessel named “Muruganthuna” bearing the registration number PR/9M 025 had become non-operational due to broken gear box shaft. The vessel along with the rescued Indian fishing crew was towed to Delft and handed over to Delft Police for onward action.
