First Lady Madam Shiranthi Wickremasinghe Rajapaksa declared open the Naval Pre-school and Day Care Center constructed at the Naval Dockyard in Trincomalee on 12th December 2011.
Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake , Navy Seva Vanitha Unit President Mrs. Neluka Dissanayake , Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Jayanath Colombage , senior naval officers and members of the NSVU were also present on the occasion.
The Naval Pre-school and Day Care Center is a project implemented by the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Navy under the guidance of its President. The pre-school is located in a spacious environment for young ones to engage in pleasurable learning activities. It is fully equipped with all amenities to cater to their needs and managed by a professional staff competent in early childhood education.
