Sri Lanka: First Lady Declares Open Naval Pre-school and Day Care Center

First Lady Madam Shiranthi Wickremasinghe Rajapaksa declared open the Naval Pre-school and Day Care Center constructed at the Naval Dockyard in Trincomalee on 12th December 2011.

Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake, Navy Seva Vanitha Unit President Mrs. Neluka Dissanayake, Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Jayanath Colombage, senior naval officers and members of the NSVU were also present on the occasion.

The Naval Pre-school and Day Care Center is a project implemented by the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Navy under the guidance of its President. The pre-school is located in a spacious environment for young ones to engage in pleasurable learning activities. It is fully equipped with all amenities to cater to their needs and managed by a professional staff competent in early childhood education.
