General Dynamics Electric Boat Wins USD 12 Million Navy Contract

 

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., was awarded on Sept. 30 2011, a $12,005,287 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded basic ordering agreement to support repair work at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard on USS Key West (SSN 722), USS City of Corpus Christi (SSN 705), USS Charlotte (SSN 766) and USS Jacksonville (SSN 699).

The contractor will provide various trade services support including pipe fitters, inside and outside machinists, a marine chemist, carpenters and ship fitters to augment the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard workforce. Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by December 2011. Contract funds in the amount of $12,005,287 expired at the end of the previous fiscal year. The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N00024-11-G-4319).
