Ukrainian defense ministry supports a proposal of Russian colleagues to lease NITKA deck-based aviation simulator to Russia, said Ukrainian defense minister Mikhail Yezhel.
At present, the simulator is leased by Russia only for the period of Northern Fleet Naval Aviation training flights. “It’s better to let Russia lease this training asset and maintain it. The staff should stay there, since it’d be difficult to find such specialists”, said Yezhel at briefing on Sept 9.
