BAE Systems gets $14.3M for USS William P. Lawrence repairs

The U.S. Navy has awarded BAE Systems Hawaii a $14.3 modification to a previously awarded contract to carry out a scheduled selected repair availability (SRA) on the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile cruiser USS William P. Lawrence (DDG-110).

A scheduled SRA is an opportunity in the ship’s life cycle primarily to conduct repair and alteration to systems.

This repair modification will include execution planning, repair and alteration requirements with a focus on repairing and preserving the auxiliary machinery room number one bilge.

USS William P. Lawrence will undergo the SRA at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, with works expected to be completed by Sept. 22, 2017.
