Three killed, one injured in South Korea Naval Base explosion

Latest information about an explosion that took place Tuesday at a naval base in the south east of South Korea says three South Korean soldiers were killed while another was injured, AAP reports.

According to South Korean officials, the accidental explosion took place during repair works on a submarine. The explosion occurred when soldiers opened the hatch of the submarine.

 

The possibility of an attack by the country’s northern neighbor is estimated to be unlikely, reports quote South Korean officials saying.
