OPV Tarifa Concludes Fisheries Campaign

The Spanish Navy’s OPV Tarifa completed a fisheries control campaign in the Mediterranean Sea.

Tarifa started her deployment on April 13 when she departed Cartagena and since then monitored the national fisheries in the regions of Levante, Tramontana, southern Mediterranean and the Alboran Sea.

The vessel conducted a total of 25 fisheries inspections with the support of an inspector from the General Secretariat of the Sea.

OPV Tarifa is the fourth ship built by the General Secretariat of Fisheries and delivered to the Navy in 2004.
