Raytheon Bags LPD 17 Engineering Deal

San Diego’s Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems is being awarded a $26 million cost-plus-fixed fee contract for life cycle engineering and support services for LPD 17 class integrated shipboard electronic systems, including an option for the contract to reach the value of up to $132 million.

The contracting activity is Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia.

Most of the work will be performed in San Diego (90%), with Norfolk, Pascagoula, Mayport and Japan undertaking 10% of the job, combined. The work is expected to be completed by December 2019.
