USS Shiloh Fires Harpoon Missile during VS14

As part of the Exercise Valiant Shield 2014, a military exercise being held in Guam, the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Shiloh (CG 67) launched a harpoon missile.

The missile was fired during a sinking exercise of the ex-USS Fresno (LST-1182) where air and sea units from the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force participated.

Valiant Shield is a U.S.-only exercise integrating U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps assets, offering real-world joint operational experience to develop capabilities that provide a full range of options to defend U.S. interests and those if its allies and partners.
