American Aircraft Carrier Drops Anchor in Spain

The aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) arrived in Palma, Spain for a scheduled port visit, April 3.

 

The port visit is designed to continue Naval Forces Europe-Africa’s efforts to strengthen maritime partnerships with European nations to improve maritime safety and security in the region.

During the visit, Sailors will have the opportunity to meet with the people of Spain and to experience the rich culture and history the country has to offer.

Truman is on a scheduled deployment as a part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet Area of Responsibility.
