USS CHUNG HOON

BAE Systems Hawaii Shipyards has won a USD 37.4 million deal for fiscal 2014 dry-docking selected restricted availability of the US Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class Aegis destroyer USS Chung Hoon (DDG 93).

Under the contract, BAE Systems will undertake maintenance and modernization efforts on the ship.

The contract will complete the FY14 Dry-Docking Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA) on the USS Chung Hoon.

Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by August 2014.

The guided-missile destroyer USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) returned to the ship’s homeport of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on Oct. 1 following a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific.

Chung-Hoon operated in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility conducting operations supporting regional security and counter-terrorism as well as combating criminal maritime operations.
