SPA Secures N81 World Class Modeling Deal with OPNAV

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) has been awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide world class modeling and simulation services in support of the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) Assessment Division (N81).

The services are for systems engineering, model development and research, model modification and improvements, and model testing, transition, and demonstration support. The models support OPNAV in the areas of warfighting, manpower, and fleet readiness.

“Speaking for SPA and our team of partner contractors, we are excited for this opportunity,” said Phillip E. Lantz, President and Chief Executive Officer. He further added, “N81 does and will play a vital role in providing the analytical foundation for the many tough strategic decisions the Navy will make as the force of the future is shaped. We take our responsibilities for providing the best support very seriously, and we are committed to the success of the Navy and contractor team.”

SPA will prime the contract with five sub-contractors: Sonalysts, Inc., Concept Analysis and Integration LLC (CAI), Innovative Decisions, Inc., ProModel Corporation, and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

SPA will compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract. The maximum value of all task orders will be $43 million.
