The US Coast Guard Cutter Robert Yered was commissioned on Feb. 15, 2013 at Coast Guard Base Miami Beach, Fla. The cutter Robert Yered is the fourth Sentinel-class Fast Response Cutter to be commissioned and is capable of conducting missions such as ports, waterways and coastal security, fishery patrols, drug and illegal migrant law enforcement, search and rescue, and national-defense operations.


Chinese Marine Surveillance Vessels Set Sail for South China Sea

A fleet membered by two Chinese marine surveillance vessels, Haijian 84 and Haijian 72, set sail for the South China Sea for regular patrol missions aimed at protecting the country’s territorial waters, Xinhua reports citing the Chinese State Oceanic Administration (SOA).
