Taiwan Conducts Tests of Its Longest Range Ship-to-Ship Missile

Taiwan conducted  trials of its longest range ship-to-ship missile within a month of China, the Ottawa Citizen.com informs citing a report.

Therefore, the conducting of trials  marks bringing of Taiwan’s first aircraft carrier into service.

The missile can reach a range of 400 kilometers, tripling the speed of sound, The United Daily News reports.

The “aircraft carrier killer” was defined as long-range variant of the Hsiung Feng III missile.

The Hsiung Feng III (HF-3) is the third in the Hsiung Feng series of anti-ship missiles developed by the CSIST in Taiwan. The HF-3 missile is already fixed on the Taiwanese frigates and missile boats.
