Iranian Navy Tracks All American Naval Ships Movement in Persian Gulf

Somali piracy gives the US and allies an opportunity to maintain massive military presence in the region under a specious pretext, said Iranian Navy Commander ADM Habibollah Sayyari on Sept 4.

Iranian Navy permanently tracks all movements of American warships in the Persian Gulf, Sayyari said. According to him, Iran’s intelligence follows all actions of US Navy’s ships.

Although presence of American naval ships in neutral waters of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz conforms with international laws, Iran won’t let US Navy enter its territorial waters, added the admiral.

Alongside with that, Admiral Sayyari reiterated the promise of Iran’s military command to deploy Iranian naval ships to neutral waters nearby the US.

Earlier, it was reported in the press that Washington told Tehran that the US would not help Israel in possible attack upon Iran only if the Islamic Republic would not venture upon retaliation against American strategic assets in the Persian Gulf.

However, White House refuted the information about secret talks between Washington and Tehran. Later on, leader of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah said that Israel’s aggression against Iran would make Tehran deliver missile strikes upon American military assets deployed in the region.

As was reported on Sept 4, the US expressed willingness to provide Israel with the most up-to-date refueling aircraft and bombs in return of non-aggression against Iran until American presidential race is over.
