Iran will not Neglect Territorial Rights at Strategic Strait of Hormuz, Military Commander Insists

Iran’s Deputy Navy Commander Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi stressed that Iran will not neglect its territorial rights at the strategic Strait of Hormuz waterway and has no intention to obstruct maritime shipping in the area.
He added that Iran has a particular interest and concern in the area and that reciprocal measures will be taken in case any effort is made to harm the interests of the Islamic Republic in the area.
The Iranian commander stressed that the intention is to ensure sustainable security in the Strait of Hormuz. Maritime transportation, including the free flow of energy resources or the passage of trade ships, has been ongoing for all countries in the area with no obstruction.
Iran has warned that in case Western threats of imposing an oil embargo on the Islamic Republic take effect, it will block the oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz, since the free flow of oil must be for all or for none.
