Task Force Commanders Meet Aboard FGS Bayern

Rear Admiral Thomas E.P. Jugel, the EU NAVFOR Operation ATALANTA Task Force Commander (CTF 465) hosted a visit by Rear Admiral Kaleem Shaukat, Pakistan Navy, Commander Task Force 151, onboard FGS BAYERN.

The working meeting was an opportunity to discuss common objectives to counter-piracy and to protect the sea lanes in the operating area of the Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Aden and Arabian Sea.

Both Flag Officers and their staffs took the opportunity to exchange their experiences and agreed that only through joint and coordinated efforts can the common goals be achieved with synchronized action against the many challenges.
